What it does & How it works

Quick Lock allows you to quickly disable/enable your Registry Editor, Command Prompt and Task Manager. All you have to do is checking three checkboxes and click Apply.

Introduction

Do you tweak your registry settings frequently? I do. In fact, I spend lots of my free time playing with Windows Registry, changing some settings to meet my need, removing unneeded stuff, etc.

One painful process that should be done everytime we tweak the registry is Backing up the registry. In case there’s something wrong with your computer, you’ll have a chance to restore your registry so that everything’s back to normal.

That’s why I wrote Reg Assistant, a small, handful freeware that allows you to backup/restore your registry in no time. Its interface is so simple that even your great-grandma could use it!

That’s it! Only a few mouse clicks are needed to perform a full backup of your Windows Registry. Reg Assistant deserves a try!

In addition to Custom Smileys Todo List, I’d like to have another todo list for Folder Tweaker, which is version 1.1 at the moment.

Like usual, this list is sorted by priority:

1. The source code should be rewritten from scratch in AutoHotkey, not AutoIt. AutoHotkey is by far better than AutoIt and it’ll give me a chance to add more cool features to Folder Tweaker.
2. Add an option called “Make this folder portable”. That means, the icon and/or background image should be copied to the folder and the path to them should be relative path. In this way, users are able to see the folder’ background image/icon no matter where they put it. An USB stick, for instance.
3. Add the ability to apply/remove background images and/or icons of more than one folder at a time. For example, “Apply to this folder and all folders under it (recursive)”

Any comments are welcomed.

After releasing Custom Smileys 2.4, I’m thinking of updating it to version 2.5. Here’s my todo list, sorted by priority:

1. Improve clickable smilies. It should be cursor-aware like WP-Grins.
2. Add an option called “Using Insert tags instead of Docking box in Write page”
3. Another option that might be interesting: Disable the ability to use particular similies. Maybe a checkbox next to a smilies is a good idea.
4. The ability to import/export custom smilies pack would be nice, too.
5. MSN smilies should be added, as a reader suggested.
6. Last but not least, add the ability to “share” a smiley with different emoticons.
